Hors d’ouevres will be prepared and served by some of central Iowa’s best known restaurants and specialty food providers. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite tropical shirt and enjoy prize drawings and other fun activities throughout the evening. Wines served at the event will also be offered for sale on site by the wineries. By popular demand the music of Tropical Steel will be returning to the Tropical Wine Fest again in 2012.

LOCAL WINES - LOCAL FOOD - A DELICIOUS COMBINATION

We are proud to announce that this year's event will be full of delicious offerings from some of Central Iowa's best speciality food providers and restaurants!

Take advantage of these opportunities!

For guests wishing to extend the activity into their own overnight getaway, the wine trail has named the Renaissance Savery Hotel at 401 Locust Street in Des Moines, Iowa as the preferred partner hotel and has arranged for discounted hotel accommodations for event guests staying at that facility. Guests wishing to take advantage of this special hotel offer should contact the hotel directly at (515) 244-2151 and make their own reservations. When making reservations, guests should request the Heart of Iowa Wine Trail event room rate.

Avoid parking congestion at the Botanical Center. Park in the city ramp adjacent to the

Savery Hotel and ride the shuttle to the front door of the Botanical Center. Roundtrip shuttles will run regularly.

Enjoy late night dining after the wine festival at Bos, in the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel or at Splash Seafood just a block down Locust Street. Bring a bottle of wine you've purchased at the Tropical Wine Festival, and there is no corkage fee to pay. You may enjoy your Iowa wine with your dinner.

The Heart of Iowa Wine Trail is grateful for the support of our festival partners.
